Weeping Dunes is the third stage in Kombu Cape.

Battleground[]

  • 2 Henrys spawn after 26.67 seconds800f, delay 23.33~26.67 seconds700f~800f.
  • 3 Tackeys spawn after 66.67 seconds2,000f, delay 16.67~20 seconds500f~600f.
  • 3 H. Nahs spawn after 46.67 seconds1,400f, delay 26.67~30 seconds800f~900f.
  • 2 Mooths spawn after 3.33 seconds100f, delay 13.33~14.67 seconds400f~440f.

Strategy[]

Henry will stop most of your units, so bring fast attackers such as Manic Lion Cat and Maglev Cat. Try to get the H. Nahs to stack in front of the enemies and sync up, then call in Awakened Bahamut to attack them all at once. Henry has low attack power but a long Freeze, so you can easily hit the Cat Deploy Limit, making timing more difficult. The H. Nahs are there to help with that, but not by much. Fast meatshields matter more here in order to slip through and get to the Henrys, so bring along Manic Eraser Cat and Manic Mohawk Cat as they are faster than your average meatshield, meaning that they can slip through much easier.

Alternatively, you can cheese the stage using Courier Cat, Manic Lion Cat, and Awakened Bahamut Cat.

Another cheese is using Butterfly Cat (near or at level 40 is recommended for 2/3 crowns), Awakened Bahamut Cat, and Manic Lion Cat (Crazy Hearts is optional). Wait for the first Mooth to spawn, send one Butterfly Cat when it is at least a quarter way to your base. Then wait for Butterfly Cat to kill the second Mooth and send out Awakened Bahamut Cat, then spam Manic Lion Cat until the base is down.

Strategy 1 (4 Crown, Cheese)[]

Lineup: Cool Japan + Bento Special, Macho Crystal Cat, Jellycat 40, Awakened Bahamut 40

Send out Jellycat as soon as you can, then send out Riceball about 2 seconds later. This will ensure that Jellycat gets a hit off on the Mooth. Then, lure the Mooth to your base and send out Riceball followed shortly by another Jellycat. When the Mooth dies, spawn Awakened Bahamut and continue spawning Riceballs. Send Macho Crystal Cat such that the Mooth dies just before he reaches him. If all goes according to plan, Henry should be knocked behind the base allowing A. Bahamut and Jellycat to destroy the base.

Trivia[]

  • Weeping Dunes' name is derived from naki suna (泣き砂, "weeping sand"), one of the Japanese terms for singing sand and the "Song of Dunes", a natural phenomenon wherein sand dunes emit a loud, persistent sound when disturbed under the right conditions.
