Risqué Terrain (見つめてキャッツアイ Mitsumete Kyattsu Ai, The Cat's Eye Watches) is the 5th sub-chapter of Stories of Legend. It was added in Version 2.0 and is available up to 4♛ difficulty.

Difficulty[]

Easy, though not quite as easy as the previous sub-chapters. In this sub-chapter you will encounter Master A. and THE SLOTH two times, and in the last level, Otta-smack-u will be encountered for the first time. Most stages can be rather annoying to deal with.

The three hardest stages of this sub-chapter are Enticing Tunnels (THE SLOTH and St. Pigge the 2nd act as the main threats), Twin Peaks (highly buffed Shy Boys and The Face) and Thriller Bridge (Otta-smack-u's first appearance).

  • 2♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 150%.
  • 3♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 200%.
  • 4♛ difficulty for this sub-chapter multiplies enemy strength magnifications by 300% and only allows Special Cats and Rare Cats to be deployed.

Trivia[]

  • Risque Terrain's Japanese name, Mitsumete Kyattsu Ai (見つめてキャッツアイ, "The Cat's Eye Watches"), is also a lyric in the song "Cat's Eye" by Anri.
  • Risqué is an adjective used to describe something that is slightly indecent, especially by being sexually suggestive. And indeed, the sub-chapter stays very true to its name:
    • Lovely Minerals' Japanese name, Porori Kōseki (ぽろり鉱石), carries the same meaning as the English name. However, Porori is also a slang term for an instance of a woman's nipple briefly being exposed - a "nip slip".
    • Shapely Caverns' Japanese name is Sekushī Shōnyūdo (セクシー鍾乳洞), or "Sexy Limestone Cave". If you take out the nyūdo, it also sounds like "Sexy Show".
    • Enticing Tunnels' Japanese name is Dokidoki Ana (ドキドキ穴). Dokidoki is an onomatopoeia for a heart pounding, while Ana means "hole" or "pit". However, the kanji read as Ana (穴) also has another reading that is almost never actually used: ketsu, meaning "buttocks".
    • Twin Peaks' Japanese name is Futa Kobu Iwa (フタこぶ岩). Iwa means "rock", futa means "two", and kobu means a lump or bump on one's body; futa kobu generally refers to two humps on a camel. Now imagine a rock shaped like two camel humps.
