Strategy[]
A tip is to stop using the Cat Cannon when Dober P.D spawns, you'll need it to kill the Assassin Bear when it appears. If you have Power Driller Cat, you can stack two on the first THE SLOTH, and then they can perma-weaken the R.Ost and the Dober P.D. However, be wary of Dober's waves, as they will still be able to hurt the Drillers. In general, use meatshields, anti-Wave Cats Bahamut Cat and Ururun Cat. However, if you have an Uber that has better DPS and range than either of those, or is anti-Traitless, you can replace one of them with said Uber.
This stage has an enemy limit of 1, meaning that unless the previous threats are down, more would not spawn. Therefore, it is possible to also cheese the stage with Long Distance units if Anti-Traitless crowd controllers are stacked and used to knock THE SLOTH/R.Ost all the way back to the base.
Strategy 1 (4 crowns)[]
Lineup: 4 cheap meatshields (Catburger, So-Ran, Li'l Macho, Macho Coin), A. Bahamut, Cyborg, Ururun, Thaumaturge, Li'l Nyandam.
Battle: Simply stall THE SLOTH with your meatshields until you get max money, then stack Li'l Nyandam. When THE SLOTH dies, spam everything except A. Bahamut. When Dober comes out, just deploy your ranged attackers. Remember to save your cannon for the Assassin Bear, who spawns after the final R. Ost. For more consistency, Talenting Thaumaturge is a great idea to stall Dober P.D. The rest of your attackers should deal with the R. Ost waves.
Strategy 2 (General Strategy)[]
This strategy is more of a guide to making your own lineup for this stage as opposed to a lineup that has specific cats in them. Adjust this to your own liking.
Lineup: 3 - 4 meatshields (Preferably have Eraser and Manic Eraser as part of this. The rest can be filled up by generic 75-cost meatshields), 3 - 4 ranged attackers that do well against the R. Osts and Dober P.D. (e.g. Salon, Vaulter, Figure Skating, Macho Legs, Dragon, Crazed Dragon, etc.), A. Bahamut, Thaumaturge any good generalist backliner of your choice. In addition, should you have Glass or Lone Cat and Kitten, bringing them along can help out in controlling the R. Osts of the stage.
Optionals:
- Any good anti-Waver will help out a lot against Dober, but is far from necessary. Should you have a Wave Blocker that isn't Mightycat, Dober's part becomes non-threatening.
- Any of the Epicfest Ubers will crush the stage easily due to their powerful anti-traitress abilities (or in Kasli the Bane's case, extreme power)
- Haniwa Cat can be useful for stalling the R. Osts in case your Erasers are weak, should you have him by this point.
Cannon Used: Basic Cannon (For Assassin Bear)
In Battle: Before everything, don't forget about Assassin Bear and try save your Cat Cannon for him, though if you're nowhere near his part, you can use it for the other parts of the stage.
- THE SLOTH: This part is the least threatening of the bunch as THE SLOTH doesn't not push at all as long as there's even a single unit in the field. Stall for cash here. Once your wallet is maxed out, take him out with your attackers while also spawning Thaumaturge to weaken him and hopefully allow your attackers to survive a hit or two from him. If your attackers are heavy cash-drains, such as Salon, keep an eye on your cash; while THE SLOTH give a lot of cash on death, you don't want to be too reckless as you'll still need the money for fending off the R. Osts and the last thing you want to happen is for you to run out of cash before you managed to deal with them. In addition, start spawning your meatshields if THE SLOTH is close to dying to prepare for the R. Ost wave.
- R. Ost: At this point, you should have started spamming all of your meatshields, attackers, backliner, and Thaumaturge to fight off the R. Ost's advance. If you have any anti-Traitlesses with you, spawn them too. One thing to note while fighting him is that due to the short stage length, it's more than likely that R. Ost will be pinned to the base. If so, try holding back spawning attackers that are of 350 or lower as they may get clipped inside his range when he gets knocked back. This also applies for the second R. Ost that's sent at you after the first, though with a bit of a difference depending on what your lineup has.
- Dober: Before listing the strategies below, a good reminder that you can't use your basic cannon for this part as you need to save it for the Assassin Bear.
- With Wave Blocker: When R. Ost is about 3/5ths away from dying, spawn your Wave Blocker in preparation for Dober. If it's Octopus Cat, spawn him non-stop. If done right, Dober won't be able to do much of anything, if at all. Spawn A. Bahamut to speed up the process of killing him.
- With Wave Immunes only: As Dober spawns, stop sending out anything and lure him close to your base. When he's about a third of the way there, spawn your meatshields and Wave Immune attackers. Luring Dober is done here so that the oncoming line of meatshields don't get as heavily affected by his wave than if you fought him farther away from the base, where stalling him becomes a bit more challenging. Spawn A. Bahamut when there's a clear opening.
- With no Anti-Wavers: When R. Ost is about 3/5ths away from dying, stop spawning all of your meatshields and only spawn in your ranged attackers and backliner so that when Dober spawns, there should be minimal to no meatshields he can use to exploit to unleash his waves and he has to go towards the ranged attackers in order to do so. This helps minimize waves produced. Spawn A. Bahamut when Dober is just about to get your ranged attackers into his range to potentially prevent Dober from using Bahamut to fire off a wave attack and attack your ranged attackers earlier than desired.
- Ms Sign: She's just here to tell you that Assassin Bear is about to spawn after her. Prepare yourself to fire the cat cannon after she dies.
- Assassin Bear: As soon as he spawns, fire the cannon immediately. If it's strong enough, it should be able to kill him. If at all possible, try timing the firing of the cannon so that it hits him as soon as he spawns, though this is far from necessary.
- Post-Assassin Bear: After all that, simply destroy the base; there are no more enemies left for it to spawn. Congratulations, you've beaten the stage!
Strategy 3 (Cheese) (1-3 star)[]
Lineup: As many freeze combos you can fit into the top row (Preferably Gross!!! + Pumpkinpants, but any three small freeze up combos should work), Golfer Cat, and Vacation Cat (level 30 should be enough to resist THE SLOTH's attacks.).
Battle: Start the battle by letting THE SLOTH get close to your base while upgrading worker cat, and when it's around 3/4ths across the battlefield, start sending out vacation cat. THE SLOTH will attack a few times, but vacation has enough health to tank its hits until you can send out a second, and at this point THE SLOTH should be permafrozen and pinned against the enemy base. Once the vacation cats start clipping through, start sending out golfer cat, he will slowly clip through THE SLOTH and start hitting the base. Keep sending out more golfers like this until you win.
Trivia[]
- This stage's name is in German. It means ballpoint pen, although it should be "Kugelschreiber", with no space in between.
