Strategy/Usage
Compared to Uber Rare units, Bahamut Cat in his first two forms falls quite short. However, with the fact that he's a free early game unit rather than an Uber Rare, Bahamut Cat is extremely useful on most stages in early game.
Bahamut's main points of interest are his huge range and extreme damage area attacks, outshining any free unit obtainable at this point. Threats like Le'boin and Dagshund are much easier to counter with his presence. His damage mixes with this very well, as most enemies during this stage will die in one or two hits. Crowds aren't safe either, as his area attack covers his whole range.
Bahamut Cat is not without weakness, however, as he suffers from average health, slow attack speed and a very long attack animation, anything that outranges him with a decent attack rate such as Master A. will continually knock him back or have a chance at obliterating him, meaning he can't contribute much in their presence. Even without those enemies, his long downtime between attacks renders him vulnerable between attacks, especially to units that can push past your units fast (such as Bore), so make sure you protect him completely while you face those enemies. Bahamut's slow movement speed is usually used to the player's advantage, as he can be stacked on weak peons before the boss wave of the stage, occurring on base hit (Dark Souls and Absolute Defence are great examples of stages this works on). However, it can also make it hard to get him back into battle if you've already pushed a long distance from your base.
True Form
Bahamut Cat's True Form takes the purpose of its first two forms and completely flips it on its head. He gains reduced recharge time, greatly increased attack speed and movement speed, twice as many knockbacks, and multi-hit attack. However, this comes at the cost of his range being cut by more than half, changing him into a melee unit. Awakened Bahamut Cat will die often due to his short range typical of Rusher-class units and his low health. However, he can be put to great use against durable enemies with slow attack rates or low range, such as Bore and Sunfish Jones, provided if you support him sufficiently. Use Awakened Bahamut as a suicidal Nuker, as he will rush the enemy base or deal heavy damage to the boss before they attack him. With proper timing, he can easily infiltrate blindspots of Long Distance Enemies such as Mr. Mole and Henry, which is part of the main strategy for Learned to Love and False Resurrection.
He can be put to great use in Timed Score stages, thanks to his jaw-dropping DPS and incredible movement speed. Awakened Bahamut Cat can also be used to clear waves of low-range swarm enemies, such as Li'l Bun Bun and Manic Lion Cat, as long as he is protected properly thanks to his extremely high DPS. Similar to his two previous forms, DO NOT use him against rapidly-attacking enemies with significantly higher range, as he will still be destroyed easily unless heavily protected by CC, wasting your funds. On a much lesser note, while it is nearly impossible to master, Awakened Bahamut can be used to clip through enemies and cheese a stage with the help of a Sniper the Cat or the normal Cat Cannon with his high speed and DPS.

Appearance
- Normal Form: A colossal white dragon/demon creature with large arms and claws. He has a horn on his head and a cat face on his chest. In his attack animation, he creates a large purple energy sphere and throws it down, creating an explosion. He mildly resembles units from the Lords of Destruction Dragon Emperors event.
- Evolved Form: He is now light grey on the back and head and looks more menacing and realistic. He now has black patterns on his arms that seem to be ancient writing of some kind and an extra set of similar wings. He also grew an additional pair of eyes as well as spikes and tiny eye-like pictures on its knee. The cat face on its chest now resembles a Crazed Cat, showing that Bahamut has become crazed himself. The purple energy sphere is larger and creates a significantly larger explosion (though his range and hit area do not actually increase).
- True Form: He has shrunk significantly in overall size, allowing faster speed. His posture is upright and leans slightly forward when flying. He has two smaller purple energy blasts charged in each of his fists while speeding toward the enemy at ten times the speed of the normal & evolved forms. He attacks by slashing three times with his energized claws (somewhat similarly to Sanada Yukimura's attack animation), then charges his fists again with an animation similar to Megidora's. The color theme is similar to the Evolved Form, with the wings now lightning black with shades of black. The cat on his chest is now back to normal this time being smaller than usual.

Trivia
- Bahamut Cat is the first and only Cat Unit to have level 30 as his 1st reduction point.
- Bahamut Cat and his dragon-like appearance are a reference to the Final Fantasy series' Bahamut as well as the King of the Metallic Dragons in Dungeons & Dragons. Bahamut is closely associated with powerful magic called Flare, which is usually one of the most potent offensive magics available in DnD. His attack in The Battle Cats may be a sort of a "Dark Flare" as well.
- Awakened Bahamut Cat has no idle animation in gameplay; it can only be seen when entering Into the Future Ch.3 before unlocking him.
- Originally, Awakened Bahamut Cat only dealt 85,000 damage at level 30; it was increased to 93,500 in Version 6.0, which gave him his multi-hit attack.
- Awakened Bahamut Cat has the highest base DPS of all Cat Units without Talents.
- Before being given a buff in Version 6.0, Awakened Bahamut Cat's DPS was second to Greater Balrog Cat. When strengthened by his Attack Up Talent, Greater Balrog Cat still has higher base DPS than Awakened Bahamut.
- Awakened Bahamut Cat's base DPS is higher than his HP.
- Awakened Bahamut Cat's "unmatched" speed has always been exceeded by Capsule Cat and Sanada Yukimura, and later updates have only added more.
