Capy has huge health and DPS, a 15% chance for a Critical Hit at a surprisingly high 335 range, and a low money drop. You won't be able to tank her attacks as she'll chomp through even the strongest tanks in seconds, and that's if she doesn't put you into a budget deficit first. Her biggest weakness is that she is a single-target attacker, so meatshielding and using ranged units is an effective way to counter her.
Strategy[]
Capy's single-target attacks make her very easy to stall using meatshields alone. However, if she is supported by powerful area attackers like J.K Bun Bun, they can wipe out all your meatshields while Capy will annihilate your stronger cat units (notably in Oil Platform and Morning Rush Hour).
Capies are usually fought in multiples. With the right support, they can actually push, so try using the Cat Cannon to sync their attack animations. This is particularly important in Morning Rush Hour, where you have to use a "ranged meatshield" such as Gross Cat to bait them out; see Lucas IV's video on this strategy for more information.
There is no difference between EraserCatvariants and other 75¢ meatshields, as they all get killed in one hit, so bringing 75¢ meatshields (or Boulder Cat, who can usually survive even several Capies at once) is recommended over the former as they'll absorb a hit for half the cost, unless if she is supported by a backliner who can't OHKO your Erasers (like Camelle in A Day of Reckoning). Another efficient meatshield option is using units that survive lethal strikes, such as Kyubey Cat and Jiangshi Cat. Capies are also extremely vulnerable to Courier Cat, as its anti-Red ability combined with its Long Distance AoE attacks can easily wipe even huge stacks of Capies in less than half a minute.
"Strong" Effect UP Combos on Crazed Fish and Island Cat work greatly against a single Capy, and fantastically against multiple, if meatshielded properly.
Furry Brazilian fitness freak. Hits the gym twice a day and always chews her food thoroughly. Weighed down by muscle, she's slower than she looks, but those critical attacks hurt real bad…
A fitness freak capybara. Her motto is to chew your rice thoroughly and to stay in the hot spring until you feel dizzy. Much slower than she looks. Can occasionally Critical.
Capy's Zombie variant has lower health, attack power, range and no Critical Hits in exchange for a faster attack rate and plenty of other abilities such as warp, immunity to waves and surges, and reviving.

Trivia[]
She is based on the capybara, the world's largest extant species of rodent.
Her Japanese name, Carpincho, is a Spanish word meaning "capybara".
Her red fur, attack animation and tendency to kill units in a single hit may be referencing the Ultimate Chimera from the game Mother 3.
Her love of hot springs mentioned in her Japanese description would eventually be her downfall, leading to her melting and becoming Zapy.
