Caliban's Keeper is the first stage in IT Catacombs.

Battleground[]

  • Infinite Snaches spawn, delay 6.67~13.33 seconds200f~400f.
  • Infinite Crocos spawn, delay 6.67~13.33 seconds200f~400f.
  • Infinite Squire Rels spawn, delay 6.67~13.33 seconds200f~400f.
  • 1 R.Ost spawns after 50 seconds1,500f.
  • When the base reaches 99% HP:
    • 1 Henry spawns as the boss.
    • 2 R.Osts spawn, delay 66.67 seconds2,000f.

Strategy[]

With a total of three buffed R.Osts and minimal cash sources, a simple mistake could allow Henry to paralyze your attackers so they could push through your army. Thankfully, the bulk of the threats don't spawn until after base hit. Your goal is to take out the first R.Ost while maximizing your wallet and avoiding the remaining enemies, then lure the R.Osts near your base, and time any others you'd spawn to reduce Henry's impact on your defense. After the two R.Osts are defeated, the stage is effectively won, as Henry and the peons alone are unlikely to even destroy your base.

Recommended Ubers[]

Generally, any anti-Traitless Uber/Legend Rares, like most of the EPICFEST exclusives, or any Ubers that are immune to freeze who also are able to outrange R.Ost should be good in this stage. Below are specified examples of good Ubers to use in this stage.

  • Snow Miku 2021: An Anti-Traitless Freezer with Long Distance that can even snipe Henry. It's recommended for you to lure the enemies, however, so Henry couldn't effectively disable her.
  • Gladios: Another Anti-Traitless crowd controller. It can deal with the R.Osts. Be wary of its sluggish speed and high cost.

Strategy 1[]

Lineup: Four meatshields, preferably dual Mohawks and dual Erasers, long-ranged cats such as Macho Leg Cat, Manic Macho Legs, Dragon Cat/King Dragon Cat, Manic King Dragon, Pizza Cat and Paris Cat. You can add any Uber or Legend Rare that you think will help; if you have none, go with Holy Valkyrie Cat and Awakened Bahamut Cat.

It is wise to take out the first R.Ost rather than trying to stall him. A way to save money while also defeating the first R.Ost is to kill him with Pizza Cat, then stop sending out units. Pizza is rather slow and cost efficient, so he will take a long, long time to get to the enemy base, allowing you to obtain vast amounts of money. Once you trigger the boss, lure. You want to do as much damage as possible to the R.Ost so you can kill Henry as easily as possible. You main want Henry to be so close that he is attacking your base, so that you can have the easiest time sending your units into his blind spot. The battle is won when Henry is killed.

Strategy 2 (4 Crowns ft. Macho Crystal Cat)[]

Lineup: Haniwa Cat, Jiangshi Cat, two 75¢ meatshields, Cyborg Cat (40+), Goemon Cat, Awakened Ururun, Macho Crystal Cat, Holy Valkyrie Cat, Green Shell Cat. All are assumedly level 30, so if they do not work at level 30, higher levels may be required.

Battle Items: Rich Cat (optional)

Cat Cannon: Normal

Battle: Use 1 or 2 Goemon Cats to get money. For the first R.Ost, hit him with Macho Crystal Cat, then spawn Holy Valkyrie Cat + a few Cyborg Cats to kill it, while spamming meatshields. Use Green Shell Cat after the Slow effect wears off. The R.Ost should die eventually. After he dies, stop spawning anything. Once the boss fight starts, let it all die and lure the R.Ost. Fire the Cat Cannon to clear the peons, then hit R.Ost with Macho Crystal Cat again. This time, also spawn Awakened Ururun. As before, spawn Green Shell after the Slow wears off. You should get 1 or 2 knockbacks before Henry arrives. Hope that he doesn't freeze Ururun. Spawn Crystal and Shell whenever possible. Spam everything except Goemon and eventually you should win.

Trivia[]

  • Caliban's Keeper is named after Caliban, a character from the William Shakespeare play The Tempest.
  • Caliban's Keeper is the only IT Catacombs stage whose name has nothing to do with IT.
    • This is only true for the English name, as the Japanese name refers to a kiriban, Internet slang for a "good number" (e.g., a good number of hits on a website's hit counter). Since kiriban and Caliban sound so similar in Japanese, it may have actually been mistranslated.
